As the Commercial Finance Analyst you will be business partnering the Shared Services function. You are the key financial support to Senior Shared Services leaders and will help drive financial performance, cost efficiencies and provide support to the wider Shared Services team.

Main duties of the job

Business partnering with Shared Services leaders to help aid decision making Developing key relationships with senior stakeholders Developing key relationships within each Shared Services function Providing insight and analysis by using financial and non-financial information Prepare the monthly management accounts for the Shared Services cost base Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost control, and forecasting, to support strategic decision making Producing an accurate budget and forecast for Shared Services in line with Group deadlines

Job title: Commercial Finance Analyst

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Monday- Friday

Location: High Wycombe. Hybrid working available

Salary: Negotiable

As the Commercial Finance Analyst you will be business partnering the Shared Services function. You are the key financial support to Senior Shared Services leaders and will help drive financial performance, cost efficiencies and provide support to the wider Shared Services team.

What you are responsible for:

  • Business partnering with Shared Services leaders to help aid decision making
  • Developing key relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Developing key relationships within each Shared Services function
  • Providing insight and analysis by using financial and non-financial information
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts for the Shared Services cost base
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost control, and forecasting, to support strategic decision making
  • Producing an accurate budget and forecast for Shared Services in line with Group deadlines
  • Working with Shared Services functions to produce an accurate cost apportionment model for budgeting and forecasting
  • Helping to drive cost efficiencies within the Shared Services cost base
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments and accruals)
  • Supporting the Group Finance team with the annual statutory audit process ensuring that the right information is provided on time to the auditors
  • The provision of key information to the Commercial Finance teams
  • Reviewing and analysing Shared Services capital expenditure to ensure spend is within the approved budget including providing business case support to Shared Services developments to ensure focus on continual improvement of activities within the InHealth finance team
  • Drive financial analysis to support our Group sustainability plan
  • Mentoring non-financial professionals to improve their financial acumen

You will:

  • Be a technically strong accountant with a good working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles
  • Have strong reporting skills and have experience of using reporting tools to analyse financial and non-financial information
  • Have developed organisational and time management skills that enable you to prioritise conflicting demands
  • Have a professional and cooperative attitude even when under pressure
  • Be flexible in your working patterns to fulfil working requirements and be willing to adjust these at short notice to accommodate unexpected changes
  • Be a newly qualified or part qualified accountant/finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Have experience of financial systems, i.e. Microsoft Dynamics
  • Have experience of using Excel and be proficient in using Pivot tables and advanced formulas (SUMIF, COUNTIF, CONCAT etc)
