Job summary
The Race and Health Observatory are looking for an experience Implementation Manager to lead the delivery of our implementation programme. Youll manage projects that enable the NHS and partners to put our evidence-based recommendations into practice, addressing racial and ethnic inequalities in health and workforce.
Main duties of the job
As Implementation Manager for the NHS Race and Health Observatory, you will:
- Manage the operational delivery of the Observatorys implementation programme, embedding the RHO toolkit to drive and measure progress on evidence-based recommendations.
- Facilitate cross-organisational and stakeholder collaboration to implement recommendations from RHO reports and translate them into system-wide impact.
- Develop and manage a national community of practice to support the spread and use of anti-racism implementation tools.
- Support the design and delivery of agile funding programmes for community organisations, enabling inclusive and responsive implementation initiatives.
- Produce impact case studies and guidance documents, contributing to strategic reporting and showcasing the value of implementation work across the system.

The NHS Race and Health Observatory (the Observatory) is an independent organisation, set up to explore ethnic inequalities in access to healthcare, experiences of healthcare, health outcomes, and inequalities experienced by Black and minority ethnic members of the health and care workforce. In doing so, it assesses aspirations in these areas as outlined in national healthcare policy, including those set-out in the NHS 10 Year Health Plan. It is a proactive investigator, providing strong recommendations that inform policymaking and facilitate change. It is evidence-driven and solution-focused.
