Job summary

Part time receptionist required to work at Monkwearmouth hospital, able to meet and greet staff and public and deal with any requests on arrival.

Main duties of the job

As a receptionist you'll be the first point of contact for anyone visiting the site, providing a friendly and professional welcome. You'll greet patients, visitors, staff and contractors, answering queries and ensuring everyone feels supported. Alongside managing the reception desk, you'll handle phone calls, book meeting rooms, arrange taxis and couriers, and issue keys and fobs. You'll also carry out a range of clerical and administrative tasks, working closely with different teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. You'll need to be proactive, respectful, and mindful of the needs of patients, including during challenging situations. You'll need to be resourceful and able to resolve a wide range of issues you might face making this a challenging and rewarding role.
