Job summary
We are looking for a Catering Driver to join our Catering Team at St Nicholas Hospital in Gosforth, Newcastle.
This will be offered as 30 hours per week (Part Time) working 7:30am to 3:30pm every Monday and Tuesday, alternate Thursday/Friday and Saturday/Sunday, off every Wednesday.
Main duties of the job
Catering drivers play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of patient meals across our hospital estate. This service operates across eight main sites and several community locations throughout the Northeast and Cumbria, with our dedicated driving team covering this area daily.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the wider catering team, including those responsible for packing, preparation, regeneration, and stores, all working together to deliver an exceptional service to the Trust and the patients we serve.
As a catering driver, you should have a passion for driving and the ability to adapt planned routes in response to unforeseen circumstances such as roadworks or traffic delays. You must be comfortable working independently for extended periods while also being a reliable team player when required.
