Job summary
An opportunity has arisen at our Brookside Centre for a Domestic Assistant to join our Team. This will be for a Part Time post working late afternoons, 15 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
- Provide ancillary services using vacuum, cleaning products (having basic knowledge of COSHH regulations) and carpet cleaning services.
- Required to clean in areas where there are service users with challenging behaviour or severe communication difficulties. The post holder will ensure that work activity protects and maintains the safety and dignity of all service users.
- Ability to follow planned work schedules under the direction of Domestic supervisor, completing quality and frequency checks/other documentation as required.
- Able to use own initiative on routine cleaning issues and recognise potentially hazardous situations, taking appropriate corrective action, for example; reporting faulty electrical equipment.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre a variety of equipment, e.g. trolleys, carpet cleaners, vacuum cleaners and floor polishing equipment.
- Completes quality/frequency checks and sheets and other documentation as required.
- Participate in internal and company staff surveys and cleaning audits as required.
- Ability to demonstrates cleaning procedures to new starters
- Flexibility around hours worked. There may also be a requirement to work in other facility departments to meet the needs of the service.
