Job summary

The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees

Main duties of the job

Ensure compliance in line with all processes/procedures and policies that meets organisational standards/requirements including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy/HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda) and SFG20. Ensuring new or revised policies are implemented within own work areas. Deliver planned and reactive maintenance services from the PPM planner, ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times. Duties may include (but not limited to) fault finding, minors repairs or installations and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments. Ability to assess problems to determine the best course of action, this would include complex technical issues. To maintain effective site log books at all NHS premises ensuring that they are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Work with and support the Projects/Construction team and Technical Supervisor in identifying, scoping, and delivering minor capital works for NHS premises. Able to plan and organise a number of complex activities and adapt within a changing and challenging work environment.

We have a permanent Maintenance Technician Electrical role available to join our team working across Shepperton, Sunbury and the surrounding area. Salary- Starting from £39,000 per annum plus on call allowance. Shift pattern- Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Base hub- Woking - Woking Community Hospital Key Responsibilities This role will deliver a range of electrical maintenance services within NHS Property Services premises in line with company policies, procedures and safety standards. Tasks include:

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple NHS sites
  • Small installation works as required
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical regulations and Trust procedures.
  • Providing professional, customerfocused service to clinical and nonclinical teams.
  • Participating in the oncall rota
  • Where you'll be Shepperton, Sunbury and surrounding areas (mobile role). A fully equipped company van and tools will be provided What we're looking for
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance (Install accepted if maintenance experience present)
  • Test & Inspect (2391 or equivalent) - strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical maintenance.
  • A positive, energetic attitude and strong customer focus.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Desirable (not essential): IPAF, PASMA, health & safety training - training can be provided
