Job summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Air-conditioning Engineer, you will assume the responsibilities of maintenance, installation and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems within the NHS Property services estate in line with the sites maintenance requirements. This will include fault finding and ensuring satisfactory fault rectification always maintaining site services levels, carrying out scheduled maintenance on Building Service systems, Maintaining AHU's and FCU's / VRV's and VRF's and

The key function of the role is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS, to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.

Job responsibilities

We have a fantastic opportunity for a HVAC Maintenance Engineer to join our team based in Nottingham - Ashfield Community Hospital. The salary on offer is from £36,555.75 - £44,954.70 per annum. This role comes with on call allowance, access to a van and relevant equipment and uniform. We also offer; 27 days holiday not including bank holidays, access to group personal pension plan including SMART contributions into which the company will contribute up to 6% towards your savings, training and development opportunities, NHS discounts, on call allowance and van issued with the role. You will assume the responsibilities of maintenance, installation and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems within the NHS Property services estate in line with the sites maintenance requirements. This will include fault finding and ensuring satisfactory fault rectification always maintaining site services levels, carrying out scheduled maintenance on Building Service systems, Maintaining AHU's and FCU's / VRV's and VRF's and complying with all Health and Safety policies, procedures and legislation to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance. This role will require you to demonstrate the following Qualifications and Experience:

  • C&G 6187 - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. and NVQ level 3 Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent.
  • C&G 2079 - Refrigerant Handling. * C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • BS7671 - The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th Edition is Desirable.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a role as a HVAC Engineer, or a refrigeration engineer in a multi-skilled role within a building maintenance environment.
