Job summary

The post holder will provide administrative support across two Primary Care Networks (East & Central Brighton PCN and Deans & Central Brighton PCN) in order to aid the delivery of safe and quality healthcare to PCN's patients. This role will have a particular focus on supporting the teams to deliver, and monitor, a project focused on identifying and managing people with high blood pressure (hypertension).

The post holder will be working with two PCNs that have the highest levels of social deprivation in Brighton and there is a real opportunity to be involved in a project that has the potential to make a significant difference to people's health and wellbeing.

The project will involve our GP practices, clinical pharmacists, data analysts and organisations from the voluntary sector.

Main duties of the job

To work closely with the PCN Operational Managers across both PCNs as well as GP practices and clinical staff.

To support the delivery of the hypertension project including inviting patients for blood pressure checks and blood tests.

To support the data analysts as directed.

About us

East & Central Brighton Primary Care Network (PCN) serves a population of 75000 people across nine GP practices in the city centre, Woodingdean and Whitehawk.

Deans & Central Brighton Primary Care Network (PCN) serves a population of 37000 people across 5 GP practices in the city centre and out to Rottingdean and Saltdean.

Job responsibilities

To provide full time administrative support to East & Central Brighton PCN and Deans & Central Brighton PCN focused on the PCN hypertension project.

To co-ordinate and facilitate internal and external meetings related to the PCN hypertension project and all associated documentation including: booking meetings, agenda setting, minute taking and noting actions.

To provide administration support to the PCN Operational Manager, PCN Managerial Lead and clinical staff for reports and data related to the PCNhypertension project.

To maintain administrative and information resources, including updating of documents in Microsoft Teams and information on the PCN website.

To act proactively in organising and prioritising own workload, managing time effectively and highlighting problems.

To produce and provide accurate information.

To work closely with the PCN Operational Manager and PCN Managerial Lead, as well as maintain working relationships with PCN practice managers and clinicians as appropriate and needed.

To behave in a way that upholds the values of the NHS and of both PCNs.

To adhere to the policies and procedures of both PCNs.

To complete all training identified as statutory and mandatory by the PCNs.

To undertake training as necessary in line with development of the post.

To participate fully in the development review (appraisal) process and undertake Continuing Professional Development as required.
