This flexible and fully supported role involves working across our Community Ultrasound Services, delivered at various sites across North Cheshire and West Yorkshire. Full training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
What You'll Do
You'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services by:
- Acting as a chaperone during ultrasound procedures
- Supporting sonographers and consultant radiologists with patient care
- Preparing clinical areas and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Assisting with the transport, setup, and basic maintenance of portable scanning equipment
- Logging in and setting up IT systems for clinical use
- Helping ensure each clinic runs smoothly and efficiently
This is an ideal role for someone with previous experience in healthcare or another patient-facing role, but we also welcome applicants new to the sector who have excellent communication skills, empathy, and a willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are:
- Reliable, flexible, and detail-oriented
- Passionate about delivering excellent patient care
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a clinical team
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Willing to travel between clinic locations (mileage paid)
- Able to transport scanning equipment (portable suitcase-sized units)
You must have access to your own car as travel between sites is essential.

Additional Information
- Initial contract: zero-hours, with regular availability of between 16 - 25 hours per week and additional hours by mutual agreement
- Rota provided one month in advance
- Occasional office-based duties may be included
