We are looking to recruit Physician Associates who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role in the East Doncaster Primary Care Network.
This is an exciting opportunity in which you will gain experience and make a real impact. This role is pivotal to improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies so requires motivation and passion to deliver excellent service within the Primary Care Networks.
Main duties of the job
You should have completed the Physician Associate program and passed the Physician Associate National Examination, be a member of the Faculty of Physician Associates at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP); including PA Managed Voluntary Registration.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as the role will require working in various practices and care homes across the Primary Care Networks, including;
Support management of patients conditions through offering specialised clinics following appropriate training
Provide health/disease promotion and prevention advice
Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations for emergency or routine problems
Using appropriate referral pathways, refer patients to other services
Provide patient care; focused history taking, clinical assessment, diagnoses, treatment and evaluation of care; all under supervision of a named GP
About us
Primary Care Doncaster Ltd is developing a wide range of services to support general practice across the Borough and is looking at innovative ways to develop its workforce, due to interest by a significant number of GP practices and Networks within the town.
The salary for the role is £41,295 per annum (depending on experience) for a full time post, 37.5 hours per week (calculated pro-rata for part time hours).

Work collaboratively with the healthcare team within the Primary Care Network (PCN) and its member practices to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of appropriate care.
Provide a holistic and clinical services, with the support and supervision of experienced GPs, implementing agreed management plans and following approved protocols.
The Government announced that all NHS, Primary Care, and
health and social care staff who are deployed as part of CQC regulated
activities and who have face-to-face contact with patients and/or service users
(including incidental contacts) may need to have both their first and second
COVID-19 vaccines. This decision is currently suspended but may be reintroduced at a later date. Therefore, before submitting any application

you must satisfy these requirements unless you belong to one of the groups who
