Westcliffe Health Innovations - Eccleshill Treatment Centre
The post is for 12 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 5pm - 8pm
The post holder is responsible for carrying out specific cleaning and other related duties, following set procedure and standards to provide and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and designated wards or departments.
To perform domestic duties including:
General cleaning.
Isolation cleaning.
High and low dusting.
Wet and dry mopping.
Clean toilets, baths and washbasins.
Emptying clinical and general waste bins and placing bags in designated areas.
Vacuum Cleaning.
Using chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines.
Maintaining staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.
Main duties of the job
To as part of the housekeeping team and to ensure that the standard of cleanliness within the organisation is implemented and maintained.
Main duties will include vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, emptying bins.
This role involves working as a team, with a flexible approach, good communication skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
As part of your cleaning role, you will be expected to clean to a high standard. Training is provided as well as ongoing support within a team environment.
Uniform will be provided and we also offer generous annual leave entitlement as well as a pension scheme.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Westcliffe Health Innovations was established in 2014 based at Eccleshill Treatment Centre to deliver Consultant led care through a range of healthcare services to both NHS and private patients in West Yorkshire.
Westcliffe provides a range of services that includes Endoscopy, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, ENT, Gynaecology, Audiology, Urology and Dermatology.

To work as part of the team delivering high standards of cleaning within both the clinical and non-clinical areas.
To clean specific areas in line with the organisations policy and national cleaning standards.
To provide a cleaning service in accordance with approved methods, standards and frequencies.
To provide support to terminal cleans/infection cleans ensuring conversance with infection control & procedures in respect of all cleaning duties.
To use cleaning equipment, machinery and cleaning materials once trained and ability to spot defects with machinery and report to Nurse in Charge.
To adopt a flexible approach when undertaking domestic duties. The cleaning and good housekeeping of the hospital environment and equipment internally/externally related to the specific job role.
The removal of refuse and soiled/infected linen and waste to designated areas in line with hospitals Infection Prevention and Control Policy/Waste Policy
To report any security matters which require attendance and ensure the environment is secure out of hours by locking doors in accordance with local procedure.
Responsible for the safety and security of any goods/equipment used with the specific role.
Ensure an adequate supply of items/equipment necessary for the role are maintained.
To follow all local method statements & risk assessments to ensure that the role is undertaken in a safe, secure manner.
