Main duties of the job
Parliament Street Medical Centre is an inner city salaried GP practice run by Nottingham City GP Alliance (NCGPA). We have approximately 8000 patients comprising many homeless patients, asylum seekers, patients with substance misuse problems, Mental Health problems and those experiencing domestic violence. We have one of the highest percentages of patients with severe multiple disadvantage (SMD) in the city. We also have a large student population and fewer than average elderly patients.

The practice is in the process of applying to be a training practice with hopes to be supporting trainees in the New Year.
We use System One and have recently developed an online triage service and are developing more online services for patients to improve access to services. We welcome ideas to develop all aspects of our services further.
We are looking for innovative, compassionate GPs who have an interest in inner city general practice and health inequalities. We would welcome GPs who have experience of working with patients with severe multiple disadvantage and patients with drug and alcohol problems or those who are keen to develop these skills.
