Job summary

We are seeking a Hub Administrator to provide high-quality, professional administrative support across Jewish Care services in East London and Essex. The role is primarily based at our Redbridge Campus (Ilford), moving to the new Redbridge Campus in summer 2026, with travel to other Hub locations including Southend, Bethnal Green and South Woodford as required. This is an onsite, fixed-term role for 12 months, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

About the Service The Administration Hub provides central administrative and operational support across Jewish Care services in East London and Essex, delivering high-quality customer service to colleagues, residents, families and visitors. This role is based in Redbridge, with travel to other Hub locations as required. About the Role As a Hub Administrator, you will provide professional, accurate administrative support, acting as a first point of contact, managing enquiries, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, logging maintenance requests, and supporting basic finance, HR and health & safety processes. You will ensure confidentiality and data protection standards are maintained at all times. About You You will be organised, customer-focused and confident working in a busy environment. You will have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, good IT and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks. Experience in customer service is essential; HR, finance or health & safety experience is desirable.

Job responsibilities

We are seeking a Hub Administrator to join our Administration Hub, providing high-quality, responsive and professional administrative support across Jewish Care services in East London and Essex.

This post is predominately based at our Redbridge Campus, currently in Ilford, IG2 6JH with our new Redbridge Campus set to open in early summer 2026 (IG4 5LN). The post holder will also need to travel to other Resources within the Hub based in Southend, Bethnal Green and South Woodford as determined by the Hub Administration Co-ordinator to provide support to onsite teams.

As a Hub Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of services by providing professional, responsive and accurate administrative support.

Key responsibilities include:

Reception & Customer Service

  • Acting as a first point of contact for visitors, staff and residents
  • Managing enquiries by phone, email and in person
  • Creating a welcoming, professional front-of-house environment

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation across systems
  • Supporting meeting coordination, visitor management and ID badge issuance
  • Logging maintenance requests and ensuring health & safety documentation is up to date
  • Managing office supplies and supporting basic financial and procurement tasks
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld

Staff, Resident & Tenant Support

  • Assisting with HR administration, recruitment processes and payroll support
  • Supporting transport bookings and responding to general queries
  • Handling personal allowance top-ups and signposting to relevant internal teams
About You

You will be organised, customer-focused and comfortable working in a busy, multi-task environment.

You will have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer service
  • Experience using systems, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team

It would be beneficial if you also have:

  • Experience supporting financial or HR-related processes
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety, data protection and confidentiality
  • Willingness to undertake First Aid and Defibrillator training
