Main duties of the job

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious, balanced meals for the residents of Kings Lodge Nursing Home. This includes developing menus, managing food ordering and inventory, and overseeing the kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. You will be expected to demonstrate your culinary expertise and leadership skills, while also fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. The role offers a regular schedule with no evening shifts, allowing for a good work-life balance.

  • 40 Hours per week including alternate weekends 
  • £16.00 per hour
  • NVQ 2 required but NVQ 3 preferred
  • Food safety Level 3 desirable (However training can be provided)
