Job summary

This is a full-time role as a Kitchen Assistant at Walstead Place, a 41-bedded Residential Care Home in Lindfield, Haywards Heath. The home has a 'Good' CQC rating and is rated 9.5 on Carehome.co.uk. The successful candidate will work 33 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts between 7am and 7pm, and some shorter shifts may be required. Alternate weekends are also necessary.

Main duties of the job

The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to the residents, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. They will work closely with the catering team to ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are met. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, passionate about hospitality, and have a growth mindset.
