Job summary
This is a Sous Chef role at a 60-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home in Haslemere, Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using high-quality ingredients. The role involves working 40 hours per week, with alternating weekends required. Previous experience in a care home setting is desirable.
Main duties of the job
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef, lead by example, and have the creative flair to showcase high-level hospitality. The role consists of straight shifts with no evenings, and there will be a fully supported induction to showcase the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor the team through the care home's own Chef academy.
