Job summary

This is a Head Chef role at Ferfoot Care Home, a 52-bed residential and dementia care home in Chippenham, Wiltshire. The home has a 'Good' CQC rating and is highly rated by residents and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best available ingredients.

Main duties of the job

The Head Chef will be responsible for leading a team of catering staff, mentoring them and showcasing high-level hospitality through their creative flair. The role involves working straight shifts with no evening work. A fully supported induction will be provided to ensure the successful candidate has the technical skills required for working in a healthcare setting. There will also be an opportunity to mentor teams and progress through the employer's own Chef academy.
