Job summary
This role as an Activities Assistant at Tall Trees Nursing and Dementia Home in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and caring team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities to improve the well-being and quality of life for the residents. Main duties of the job
As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of activities and social events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents. This may include arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and one-on-one interactions. You will work closely with the residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure that each individual's preferences and abilities are taken into account. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and a passion for improving the lives of older adults are essential for this role.

- Relevant experience in a care setting, particularly with older adults or individuals living with dementia, is preferred. A qualification in a related field, such as Occupational Therapy, Health and Social Care, or Activity Coordination, would be an advantage. However, the employer is open to considering candidates with the right skills and attitude, who are willing to learn and develop their expertise.
