Job summary
The role of Sous Chef at Rendlesham Care Centre, a 60-bedded residential, nursing, and dementia care home, is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate chef to create fresh, nutritious meals for the residents. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef, lead by example, and showcase their creative flair to deliver high-level hospitality. Main duties of the job
As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the planning, preparation, and serving of meals for the residents. This includes ensuring the use of the best fresh ingredients available, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and providing mentorship and support to the kitchen team. The role consists of straight shifts with no evenings, allowing for a better work-life balance. You will receive a fully supported induction to showcase the technical skills required in healthcare, as well as an opportunity to mentor your team through the Chef Academy program.
