Job summary

Aria Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their team at Huntercombe Hall Nursing Home in Henley on Thames. This is a permanent role offering 44 hours per week with a competitive hourly rate of £13.10. The home has a 'Good' CQC rating and is highly rated by residents and their families.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to the residents of Huntercombe Hall Nursing Home. This will involve assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and supporting the nursing team. You will also be expected to take on a leadership role, mentoring and developing the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the residents.

  • You will need to have previous experience as a Care Assistant, with a strong understanding of the care needs of older adults. Excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to professional development are also essential. A relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ or diploma in Health and Social Care, would be an advantage.
