Job summary

The role of Head Housekeeper at Chestnut View Care Home in Haslemere, Surrey is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention control. The successful candidate will lead a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and create a warm, welcoming environment for the residents.

Main duties of the job

As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance of the 60-bed residential, nursing, and dementia care home. This includes coordinating the housekeeping team, ensuring all areas are cleaned to a high standard, and implementing infection prevention protocols. You will also be involved in purchasing and managing cleaning supplies and equipment. The role requires flexibility to work a rota covering 7 days a week, including alternate weekends and bank holidays.
