Job summary

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Head Housekeeper to lead a team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a 62-bed residential, nursing, and dementia care home in South Norwood, London. The home has a 'Good' CQC rating and is highly rated by residents and their families.

Main duties of the job

As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for managing a team of housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the residents. You will ensure that all areas of the home are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and infection prevention control. You will also be responsible for ordering supplies, managing the housekeeping budget, and providing training and support to your team.

  • 35 Hours Required (shift pattern will be 7am - 14pm, 0900am - 16.00pm)
  • Alternate Weekends
  • £13 PH

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeper in a care home or similar setting is preferred. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
