Job summary
The role of an Activities Coordinator is to create and facilitate a wide range of engaging activities and events for the residents of the Magna Care Centre, a 69-bedded Residential, Dementia Care and Nursing Home in Wimborne, Dorset. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and planning abilities to ensure that each resident is able to make the most of every day, with activities and ideas tailored to bring out the best in them.
Main duties of the job
As the Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and delivering a diverse programme of activities and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents. This will involve activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and other therapeutic and recreational pursuits. You will work closely with the care team to understand each resident's preferences and abilities, and tailor the activities accordingly. The role requires creativity, empathy, and a passion for improving the quality of life for the residents.
