Job summary

This is a role for a highly skilled Head Chef to create fresh, nutritious meals for residents in a healthcare setting. The role involves leading a team, mentoring, and showcasing high-level hospitality. The successful candidate will have a passion for using the best fresh ingredients and a creative flair to deliver excellent culinary experiences.

Main duties of the job

The Head Chef will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals for the residents of the care home. They will lead a team of kitchen staff, mentor them, and ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation. The role offers a work-life balance with no evening shifts and alternate weekends off. The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction and the opportunity to further develop their skills through the organization's Chef Academy.

We are looking for a passionate Chef that will lead by example, mentor your team and have the creative flair to showcase high level hospitality.  The role consists of straight shifts & no evenings!  There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.

  • Extensive experience as a Head Chef or similar senior culinary role, with a proven track record of leading a team and delivering high-quality meals. Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations in a healthcare setting.
