The Activities Coordinator role is responsible for planning and coordinating a range of engaging activities and events for residents in a care home setting. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for the residents.
Main duties of the job
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a diverse program of activities and events that cater to the interests and needs of the residents. This may include organizing social events, recreational activities, arts and crafts, educational workshops, and outings. You will work closely with the care team to understand the individual preferences and abilities of the residents, and ensure that the activities promote their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.
