Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality care to the residents of Huntercombe Hall Nursing Home. Your duties will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring and recording residents' wellbeing, and working closely with the nursing team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the residents. You will also be expected to take on a leadership role, mentoring and supporting junior care staff, and driving continuous improvement within the home.

  • You should have previous experience as a care assistant, with a proven track record of providing excellent patient care. A relevant qualification, such as an NVQ in Health and Social Care, would be highly desirable. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a growth mindset are also essential for this role.
