Job summary
The role of Activities Coordinator at Dormy House, a 88-bedded Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Palliative Care Home in Sunningdale, Berkshire, is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the residents, ensuring they can make the most of every day.
Main duties of the job
As the Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating a wide range of activities and events that enrich the lives of the residents. This includes arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and other recreational pursuits. You will work closely with the care team to understand the unique needs and preferences of each resident, and tailor the activities accordingly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with residents, families, and the wider care team on a regular basis. The successful candidate will have a passion for promoting the wellbeing and quality of life of the residents, and a creative flair to keep the activity program fresh and engaging.
