Job summary
The role of Activities Coordinator at Dormy House, a 88-bedded Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Palliative Care Home in Sunningdale, Berkshire, is a part-time position offering 24 hours per week, 4 days a week from 10am to 4pm, including essential weekend work. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of engaging activities and ideas that enrich the daily lives of the residents, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Main duties of the job
As the Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of activities and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the residents. This may include arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and other stimulating experiences. You will work closely with the care team to understand the individual preferences and abilities of each resident, ensuring that the activities are tailored to their needs. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and a passion for enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for the residents.
