Job summary
This is a full-time Head Chef role at a 34-bedded Residential & Dementia Care Home in Liss, Hampshire. The home has a CQC rating of 'Good' and is highly rated on Carehome.co.uk. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best ingredients, and leading and mentoring the catering team.
Main duties of the job
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the residents using the best available ingredients. You will have the creative flair to showcase high-level hospitality and lead by example, mentoring your team. The role involves straight shifts with no evenings, and there will be a fully supported induction to the technical skills required in healthcare. You will also have the opportunity to mentor your team through the company's Chef academy.
