Main duties of the job

The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will support the people who use our services while leading and motivating a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a key role in creating a positive home environment and ensuring excellent standards of care and support are maintained.

This role includes:

  • Managing colleague rotas and supporting with absence management
  • Leading and guiding support workers on shift
  • Taking the people we support out for activities and day opportunities
  • Office-based responsibilities, including assisting the manager with administrative duties
  • Checking and maintaining care plans, medication records, and ensuring quality and compliance standards are met
  • Work closely with recruitment and onboarding team to support the hiring of new staff members
