Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a
passionate Neuro Physiotherapist to be part of the CHD Rehabilitation team. The
post holder will be an autonomous practitioner, taking on a therapy team lead
role and providing highly specialist physiotherapy service to inpatient
neurorehab patients. They will be expected to manage and supervise
physiotherapists, OTs and rehabilitation assistants as part of this role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist physiotherapy
to contribute to the high-quality assessment, evidenced based treatment and
discharge planning of patients with neurological injury. This includes both inpatient
neurorehabilitation and long-term disability management. The candidate will
have proven experience of assessing and treating neurological patients with
complex physical movement patterns, postural management and respiratory and
tracheostomy needs. They will be required to manage and supervise members of
the multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will provide assessment to
those with complex presentations and determine suitability for rehabilitation
and admission to the service in conjunction with the Clinical Head of Rehab
Service and care home manager.
They will contribute to the therapy teams
functions such as rota planning, service development and in-service training.

staff to attend both internal and external courses to support their
