Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Physiotherapist to be part of the CHD Rehabilitation team. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner providing physiotherapy to inpatient neurorehab and general rehab patients. They will be expected to manage and supervise rehabilitation assistants as part of this role.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide physiotherapy to contribute to the high-quality assessment, evidenced based treatment and discharge planning of rehabilitation patients. This includes general rehabilitation, inpatient neurorehabilitation and long-term disability management. The candidate will have proven experience of assessing and treating inpatient rehabilitation patients either as part of their placement or within a Band 5 role.

They will contribute to the therapy teams functions such as weekly timetabling, service development and in-service training.

This is an opportunity to work with a diverse and complex caseload, which include individuals with prolonged disorders of consciousness, traumatic brain injury, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and progressive neurological conditions.

We are committed to continuing the professional development of our staff. The therapy department has a structured in-service training programme, a yearly staff training budget and encourage staff to attend both internal and external courses to support their development.
