Job summary
As a Care Support Assistant, you will receive full training to help you thrive in your role and gain confidence in providing quality care. After training is completed, you will receive a competitive rate of pay of £15 per hour for days/waking nights and £76 per sleeping night shift, after training is completed. You will also receive a waking night bonus of £14.00 for each waking night shift that you complete.
After completion of clinical training, you pay rate will increase to £15.60 for any day shifts completed
This position involves a part-time role of 24 hours per week.
We have one postiiton available for day hours and sleeping nights.
We have one position available for mixed shifts, which includes days, sleeping nights and waking nights.
A Driver is required.
Previous Care Experience is preferred but not essential as full and training will be provided
Main duties of the job
Your Responsibilities as a Care Support Assistant
Supporting our client with his complex health needs: Our client has a tracheostomy, a gastrostomy, and is on a ventilator 24 hours a day. Support will also include medication management, pressure area care, and manual handling
Assisting clients in their daily routines, encouraging independence wherever possible
Providing companionship and emotional support
Helping with household tasks and meal preparation
Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities
Administering medication when required
What We’re Looking For
To be successful as a Care Support Assistant, you’ll need:
A caring and empathetic nature
Good communication skills
A genuine desire to support others
Basic IT and record-keeping skills
A full UK driving licence is advantageous
Previous experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
