We are recruiting for a Care Support Assistant to support a young lady for 24 hours per week during the night.
This post is for 2 waking nights each week following a weekly rolling rota
As part of the role you will be paid £12.25 per hour
Main duties of the job
This position operates on a 2:1 staffing ratio. During night shifts, there will be one awake carer and one sleep carer, with sleep shifts scheduled from 8 PM to 8 AM to support the client with her compex health needs
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting a young lady with Autism during the night.
Assisting with non-invasive ventilation while she sleeps.
Managing and monitoring her epilepsy and seizures.
Additionally, every fourth week, you will be part of an on-call rota to ensure consistent and familiar staffing levels are maintained. You will receive a flat rate of £50 for being on call during that week. Staff on call will be expected to cover any shifts that have not been filled by other team members due to sickness or annual leave.

Your responsibilities as our Care Support Worker will include: Assisting and supporting vulnerable clients to enable them to live the life they choose (where possible) to promote their independence. Your role will include, companionship, supporting with housework, running errands and supporting with preparing and cooking meals. Administering medication may be required.

You are required to have good communication skills and have a desire to care for others.
