About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our therapeutic team on a contract or permanent basis. This role is ideal for a practitioner experienced in working with children and young people with complex needs, who is confident in assessing and supporting functional, sensory, and adaptive skills. It isESSENTIAL FOR THE APPLICANT TO BE TRAINED IN SENSORY INTEGRATION AT POSTGRADUATE LEVEL.
You will contribute to multidisciplinary assessments, provide targeted interventions, and offer expert guidance to staff and families to help young people reach their full potential.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including sensory processing, functional skills, and adaptive behaviour assessments (e.g., ABAS, Vineland) within the scope of OT practice.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans and evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with education, care, and therapy staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clear, detailed reports and professional recommendations for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and reviews.
- Deliver training and consultation to staff and parents on sensory regulation, adaptive functioning, and strategies to support independence.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
