Children's Clinical Nurse Specialist

Main duties of the job
This is a fabulous opportunity to be an integral part of the amazing nursing services that we offer our patients and to make a real difference to the lives of our patients and carers.
Youll be working with our Carers and complex care patients in their own homes within the community, ensuring that Nurses and Carers are suitably trained and competent to deliver the care needed. Youll assess the risks and needs of the patient to devise an individual holistic detailed electronic care plans and that they are regularly evaluated to ensure that patients receive supervised evidence based nursing care in accordance with local contracts.
The role reports directly into the Head of Complex Careand has line management responsibility for Direct Care Nurses/Support Workers. You will also be supported by a multi-disciplinary team and, also have the opportunity to work alongside Area Managers, Registered Managers andBusiness Development teams in ongoing business development, including giving advice on quotations on clinically lead health packages.

Job responsibilities
Operational Management
Be visible and know the customers in caseload by regular care rounds and proactive home visits.
Regular face to face home visits with customers on caseload to supervise and ensure evidence based care is being delivered by carers.
To be an integral part of the clinical team, attending and contributing to regular team meetings at Head Office, which are likely to involve travel and an overnight stay
To support growth by working alongside the DoCC and Business Development team.
Take an active role in recruitment and retention of care staff for complex care clients.
To respond to all clinical complaints as per company policy and risk management.
Report to the Regional Director any branch issues that may arise on a weekly basis.
Submission of regular clinical reports and updates through to the CCG regarding their packages as per contractual agreements.
Regular conferencing calls with DoCC.
Updating DoCC of weekly patient trackers.
Attend annual appraisal with DoCC.
To participate and have a regular 1:1 with DoCC.
To participate in professional development monthly meetings.
To undertake annual appraisal and supervisions of all registered nurses working within branches.
Team Working, Planning and Organising
Work collaboratively with members of the clinical team, operational staff and branch staff ensuring effective communication.
Effectively prioritise own workload.
Gain knowledge of pending customers and plan accordingly.
Clinical, Compliance and Organising
Maintain clinical updates and evidence of PREP (Post Registration Educational Portfolio).
Ensure that all customer Safeguarding issues are raised in accordance with Allied policy.
Work alongside quality teams for auditing and improvement.
Monitor, review and update current complex clients in a timely manner as discussed with HoCC.
In conjunction with the Regional Director and bid team give advice on quotations for clinically lead healthcare packages.
Ensure that carer clinical supervisions are completed for all staff involved in case managed clients at regular intervals.
Provide clinical advice and support where appropriate to all branch and care staff with regards to complex clients.
Train and assess carers and nurses working within your clinical caseload. Additional training may be required for other areas of the company on an ad hoc basis and must be managed in your clinical training workload.
Attend all mandatory training and updates.
