We are a residential childrens home for children / young people with learning disabilities. We are looking to recruit support staff to expand our team of experienced staff who recognize that when you are supporting young people, every moment matters.
We are looking for a Care Team Leader who has a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables children to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will need to have experience supporting children with learning disabilities. As a member of the team you will need a real passion for providing a high standard of support that enables our children and young people to be as independent as they can, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life.
For this role, it is essential you have:
- Have or completed 90% of a NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- Must have experience of managing staff
- Must have OFSTED experience
- Muse be able to support on call on a rota basis
About us
For children with complex medical needs and sensory impairment to thrive, they need sensory stimulation and encouragement to achieve this. At Courtyard Care, we believe children and young people with complex mental health histories require nurturing and therapy in equal parts.
Our aim is to provide outcome-based support in a safe, welcoming, homely and stimulating environment for children and young people with complex and additional needs. We provide this high level of care and accommodation at Courtyard Care, by ensuring that all services and accommodation matches, as near as possible, that of a normal domestic home, whilst considering the needs of each child/young person.
We also aim to assist children/young people to lead fulfilling and enriched lives, by enabling them to take part in a variety of social activities. Ensuring each child can follow their preferred social activities with the support of our dedicated and professional residential teams.

Salary: £12.80 per hour additionally fee for on call.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
The team leader will support the
Registered Manager/Deputy Manager in the direct management of the children / young people and the
management of the staff teams that support these children / young people to
ensure that the highest standards of care is in place. To meet and promote the
needs of the children / young people and provide opportunities to advance their
opportunities and life experience in a positive manner. They will support in
the recruitment, maintenance and development of the staffing team. In addition
to ensuring the home is run in line with company policy and will hold
responsibility to quality assure that care is delivered against The Childrens
Regulations and Quality Standards to meet all of Ofsteds requirements.
Please note, this is initially a 6
month post which will be reviewed following this period.
