Job summary
Come and join one of the UK's largest providers in complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.
Are you ready to take your expertise in neurorehabilitation to the next level and help shape a cutting-edge service from the ground up? Our Birmingham service is transitioning to Active Neuro, the newly launched division of Active Care Group, which provides specialist rehabilitation for adults across the UK living with neurological conditions resulting from injury, illness, or disease. We are committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, and empowered enabling them to live their best life possible.
Main duties of the job
Active Neuro has invested heavily in refurbishing the service and implementing state-of-the-art robotic technology, including the Luna EMG Premium and the ExoMotus M4, giving therapists the tools to deliver intensive, goal-orientated rehabilitation tailored to each individual. Here, recovery isn't just about restoring function its about rebuilding lives, independence, and quality of life.
We support NHS, private, and medicolegal patients, and unlike other services, we are not restricted to short timeframes. This allows for longer-term, meaningful goal setting, whether that's returning to hobbies, social activities, creative pursuits, or everyday life tasks.
We are also expanding into outpatient pathways, ensuring continuity of care for those who no longer require inpatient rehabilitation, as well as offering support for people from the wider community.
As our Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in developing this service, helping to shape clinical pathways, introduce innovative approaches, and inspire a multidisciplinary team. We value our therapists expertise and creativity, offering the freedom to innovate, contribute ideas, and influence service development.
You'll also benefit from strong peer support, cross-site collaboration, and partnerships with organisations like Headway and the Spinal Injuries Association, as well as personalised CPD pathways and the opportunity to attend various conferences and networking events.
