Active Neuro, our newly launched specialist division of Active Care Group, is transforming neurorehabilitation in the UK. We are seeking two Band 6 level Physiotherapists to join our team at Nottingham Brain Injury and Neurological Care Centre, supporting adults with acquired or traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, and complex needs.
Working across NHS, private, and medicolegal pathways, our physiotherapists aren't limited by a 12-week window. This allows you to set meaningful, long-term, person-centred goals - whether that's enjoying a morning walk with friends, preparing a favourite meal, returning to a creative hobby, or spending time in the garden independently.
Main duties of the job

The role:
As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will:
- Provide expert assessment and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions for patients with complex neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, spinal cord injury, and polytrauma.
- Deliver specialist respiratory and tracheostomy care as part of a holistic, person-centred rehabilitation plan.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of physiotherapy programmes, supporting functional recovery and patient-specific goals.
- Utilise advanced rehabilitation technologies, including Arm Motus M2 Pro, Wrist Motus, Ankle Motus, Kinestica Equio Balance System, and EMG-assisted devices, to enhance patient outcomes.
- Actively participate in service development initiatives, including implementing physiotherapy protocols, contributing to clinical guidelines, and identifying opportunities for quality improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to junior physiotherapy staff and students, sharing knowledge and fostering clinical excellence.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), patients, families, and carers to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to audits, and ensure compliance with professional standards and local policies.
