Main duties of the job
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist to lead and co-ordinate our Psychology service. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical leadership, driving forward innovative, evidence-based practice while ensuring excellence in neuropsychological assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
You will have the opportunity to:
Lead a respected Psychology Service within a nationally recognised neurorehabilitation centre.
Influence service development, clinical standards, and innovation across a multidisciplinary team.
Play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for patients with complex neurological needs.

Your impact and responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic leadership to the Psychology Service, embedding reflective practice and championing evidence-based approaches.
- Undertaking and overseeing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, contributing to accurate diagnosis and the design of tailored rehabilitation programmes.
- Delivering and guiding a range of evidence-based interventions, including cognitive and mood therapies, and behaviour modification programmes utilising Positive Behaviour Support.
- Leading, supervising and developing psychology colleagues, including Clinical Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists, fostering a culture of growth and clinical excellence.
- Supporting and educating families and carers, while providing training and expertise to colleagues across the multidisciplinary team.
- Representing the service and organisation at patient reviews, discharge planning meetings, and professional forums or conferences, enhancing our reputation as a centre of excellence.
- Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, keeping people safe from harm and upholding their human rights at all times.
