Main duties of the job

CCMS are fully committed to delivering excellent support to all our clients and their families and put their thoughts and expectations at the heart of everything we do. We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions. A support worker is required for a gentleman in his late 60s living independently in the Penrith area. The gentleman has an acquired brain injury. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the client and promoting independence with daily living tasks including household chores, personal care, shopping and regularly going out in the local community

What you will be doing: 

Applicants are sought with the following qualities: good communication skills, patience, problem solving ability and a sense of humour.

The successful applicant will be joining an experienced, established team. The applicant will receive full training for this role and regular supervision.

 

About you:

  • Full, clean UK driving licence – experience of driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle preferable but not essential
  • Experience of delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided.
  • Dependable and professional - you value honesty and discretion
  • Experience of working with adults with physical & cognitive impairment is essential, the position is suited to someone who has a positive attitude plus the ability to motivate & engage.
  • Previous experience working with clients with brain injury is preferable
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS and enrol in the DBS update service
  • Flexible and you work well under pressure

CCMS are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client, however, CCMS oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.

CCMS offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries. 

Ultimately our aim is to empower and support people to reach their full potential and maximize their rehabilitation opportunities in order to promote the best quality of life
