Job description

Job responsibilities

We provide support for young adults with disabilities in a residential setting. Our mission is to empower residents to become more independent, confident, and resilient in their everyday lives. We prioritise their physical and mental wellbeing, offering specialised care and support tailored to their individual needs.

As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to improve their physical health and mobility. Working closely with our specialist team, you will help residents build their skillset and achieve greater independence, while promoting physical wellbeing and holistic care within a nurturing environment where residents feel safe, happy, and empowered.

What you'll be working:

This role is 24 hours (3 days) per week, with days and times to be agreed.

What you'll be doing:

Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights

Assist residents with their physiotherapy exercises and routines under the guidance of a qualified physiotherapist

Support residents in improving their mobility and physical strength through regular exercise sessions

Collaborate with the wider team to develop personalised care plans that address residents' individual needs and goals

Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents during their rehabilitation journey

Assist with documenting residents' progress and communicating any changes or concerns to the physiotherapy team

Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in physiotherapy care
