They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as a Maintenance Operative at Greenholme House Care Home in Ilkley.

Main duties of the job

As a Maintenance Operative, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure facilities are fully functional. Other responsibilities will include carrying out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their room, ensuring routine re-decoration, advising on the supply and quality of items, and providing out of hours emergency service.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Have a minimum of one years experience in a general maintenance or handy person role and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
  • Hold a full driving licence.

  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
