Job summary

This is a temporary Chef de Partie role at Avery Healthcare's Cliveden Manor Care Home in Marlow. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in providing a high-quality culinary service that contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents. The role requires catering qualifications, food hygiene certification, and at least 1 year of catering experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Chef de Partie, your focus will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service to the residents. This will involve preparing nutritious food and beverages, participating in meetings to discuss catering functions and address dietary requirements, and helping to develop and review the menu. You will need to demonstrate compassion, commitment to quality, and the ability to be adaptive and flexible.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Chef de Partie will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service, which contributes to the overall wellbeing of the residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
  • Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
  • Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
