Job summary
As a Maintenance Operative at Avery Healthcare's Seagrave House Care Home in Corby, you will be responsible for ensuring the building and grounds are well maintained. Your focus will be on undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services, and applying basic fixes to equipment and systems to ensure the facilities are fully functional.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include carrying out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, supporting new residents to arrange their rooms, undertaking routine re-decoration, advising on the supply and quality of items, and providing out-of-hours emergency service. You will need at least one year of experience in a general maintenance or handyman role, hold a full driving license, and have knowledge of health and safety, particularly in areas like moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH assessments.
