Job summary

The role of a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare involves ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide a high-quality housekeeping and laundry service to residents, treating them with dignity and respect.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, your responsibilities will include carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. You will also be expected to treat all residents with dignity and respect, and to respect their personal space and belongings.

Shift details: Two positions are available: one part-time (21 hours per week) and one full-time (38 hours per week). Shift hours are from 07:00 to 15:00 and 12:00 to 19:30.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
