This is a fantastic opportunity to join Avery Healthcare as a General Manager at their Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets are met.

Main duties of the job

Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care to residents in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, whilst meeting regulatory requirement, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets. Other responsibilities include ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person centred care, and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice, being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home, acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in resident's wellbeing, ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained, providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, and ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls.
