Main duties of the job

As a Chef de Partie, your focus will be to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in leading a culinary team that provides a nutritionally balanced, comprehensive and high-quality culinary service. This will include preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, participating in meetings with residents and department heads to discuss catering functions and address special needs or dietary requirements, and working with the leadership team to develop and review the menu. You will also be responsible for supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimize waste.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Taking part in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss and agree catering functions across the home, and to address special needs or dietary requirements of residents.
  • Preparing nutritional food and beverages to a high standard, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Supporting cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.
  • Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and review the menu on a regular basis.
