Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, acting as the person in charge and standing in for the Manager as required. Your duties will include undertaking nursing tasks such as medication distribution, dressings, catheterization, and management of chronic conditions, as well as advising families and GPs of any changes in resident condition. You will also be responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed and residents receive the required care.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
  • Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
  • Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
