Main duties of the job

As a Kitchen Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high quality and comprehensive service is delivered to residents. Your focus as Kitchen Assistant is tosupport the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high quality and comprehensive service is delivered to residents.

  • Understanding the principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations undertaken in the kitchen is to the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Contributingfully to team working, responding positively tocolleagues,and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
  • Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods.
  • Actingaccordingly towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
